Kenneth E. Barnette, a native of Plain Dealing, LA, was admitted to the bar in 1969, after a career as an independent insurance agent. Prior to college, he served in the U.S. Army, 1/254 Infantry, 63rd Division, France, 1944-45. After law school, he practiced for many years in the area of casualty insurance defense, and later in the area of wills and successions. He was admitted to the bar before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Barnette has retired from the active practice of law.
Mr. Barnette was a member of the Baton Rouge and Louisiana Bar Associations and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He is also a member of First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge and the St. James Lodge #47, F. & A. M.
Mr. Barnette attained the highest possible professional and ethical rating (“AV”) as issued by Martindale-Hubbell legal ratings directory and was listed in their Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers.
